Celtic League in demand over murder

The Celtic League has reiterated its call for a full independent public inquiry into the murder of a County Louth forestry worker.

At its annual general meeting on the Isle of Man, the league claimed there were substantial allegations that Seamus Ludlow was murdered in 1976 by a loyalist gang which had possible links to the security services in Northern Ireland.

The league also welcomed the decision of the Irish attorney general to instruct the coroner for Co Louth to hold an inquest into the Mr Ludlow's death.
